Counselling Service for Anger Management
Anger management counselling helps us to learn how to learn more about what triggers our anger so that we can respond in a calmer, more effective way.
Anger is defined as “a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility”. It would be safe to say that all of us have experienced varying degrees of anger. After all, it is one of the many natural emotions that make us human.
Support with anger management:
- Understanding how I get angry?
- What are the triggers?
- Anger management techniques.
- Tips to release anger safely.
- Anger as an automatic reaction.
- Blame and anger.
- Looking at anger from different angles.
- How does your anger measure up?
- Coping with negative behaviour in your workplace.
- Anger and forgiveness.
For the majority of us, we are able to manage our anger so that it does not spiral out of control. However, some people find it hard to control their anger, or when they are angry it is expressed in a harmful way, either at themselves or to others. Then there are circumstances where a person holds onto their anger for an unhealthy amount of time. The anger becomes such a destructive force that it takes control, resulting in the person becoming reactive rather than responsive to situations and people around them.
Understanding Our Anger & Healing
We all need to understand and develop mindfulness about what our triggers are, the beliefs we have and the consequences of our actions. When we can really understand what is hiding underneath this anger and frustration, positive changes will begin to unfold.
Becoming creative in how we identify strategic ways for coping with stress, tension, anger and rage, will help identify what is contributing to how you are feeling, and what physical activity would be suitable to help with the mental intention of releasing the anger.
