Anxiety is considered to be a common reaction to stress but when anxiety becomes excessive, it can feel as if our situation is helpless and hopeless.
The body prepares to deal with a perceived threat by preparing the physical body to produce symptoms including heart palpitations, muscle weakness and tension, fatigue, nausea, chest pain, shortness of breath, stomach aches, or headaches, the fight or flight response.
The person may experience emotional sensations such as a sense of dread, apprehension, trouble concentrating and panic and this can usually come without warning, and although the fear is generally irrational, the perception of danger is very real.
At Creative Mindfulness, I will work alongside you to gain some control back in your life. I have also written a 6 Week course on Anxiety to create a step by step approach to being mindful of how anxiety is presenting itself in our day-to-day lives. This can be achieved over a six week period either individually or in a group setting (if the latter is available at the time you make a booking).
It is important to develop mindfulness in how we identify the negative thoughts and feelings we have learned which in turn affect how we behave and what actions we take.
